A young girl was allegedly raped by three men in a hotel room at the same time, according to police.
Sources in the Delhi police said on Saturday that the woman, a 16-year-old girl from a poor family, was visiting a friend at a hotel in the capital on February 15, 2017.
The woman, who had not gone to a doctor, told the friend about the rape and told her mother that her mother was a nurse, the police said.
The police have registered a case against the three men, who were booked under sections 376 (rape), 376 (murder), 307 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 307A (rape and intentional infliction of hurt by dangerous weapon) and 307 (aggravated assault).
They are being produced in a court on Friday.
Sources said the victim was in her mother’s room, where she was staying.
The accused allegedly took the victim to the back room and sexually assaulted her.
The girl was able to scream for help.
She then went to the hospital and lodged a complaint, the sources said.
The woman’s mother told the police that she suspected the three were involved in the rape, but had not reported the matter to the police.
