Emma Stone will star in a new drama series set in the world of the Stone Walkway, the actress revealed during a promotional tour for the drama series on Monday.
Stone will be played by actress Ashley Judd, who starred on the Fox series.
Stone, 36, was cast in the role of a mother whose daughter is stuck on a Stone Walkways, a series of floating floating islands in the middle of New York City.
The show is described as a comedy that will explore how everyday people of color have come to understand the nature of their lives and what makes them unique.
Stone is known for her work in “The Hunger Games,” the film series starring Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth, as well as “American Beauty.”
She recently starred in “Catching Fire,” the series based on the book by Michelle Alexander, in which she plays a police officer.
The series, written by Amy Ziering, is produced by Zierng, who also wrote the pilot for the upcoming Disney film, “Finding Dory.”
The series is directed by David Giese, who has worked on such projects as “The Hobbit” and “Avatar.”
In addition to the Stonewalkways, Stone has appeared in such movies as “Pitch Perfect” and the “Wreck-It Ralph” reboot.
She has been nominated for four Emmys.
Stone recently signed on to play a character named Gertie on a series about a family of people who have fallen in love with a tree, “The Gerties,” set to premiere this fall on Fox.
The actress will play the character, played by Jennifer Lawrence, who is a retired nurse who moves into a nursing home.
She is an idealistic family, but when the elderly Gerti becomes sick and becomes a zombie, the family has to decide if they want to be part of a new life.
