Limerick, Ireland – Irish rugby fan groups have a huge Irish flag and a banner for a Limerick football match to thank the local residents who helped raise the money to get the match started.
The Limerick City Football Club has taken over the banner, with the goal of raising funds for the local flood relief fund.
The club said they were able to raise more than $500,000 for the flood relief.
The game was held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Limster.
The Limerick Rugby Football Club raised the funds to play their first match on the field.
The flag was donated by the Limerick Cricket Club, who also donated a jersey, which was signed by the team.
The banner is the first of several banners for the football match in the next few weeks.
