Chris Stone, a former member of the Stoner’s Society, has been revealed as the first person to have been stoned at a pub in London.
Mr Stone, who is credited with being the first to get drunk and drive in his twenties, died in 2003 aged just 43.
Now, he has been awarded the Victoria Cross for his bravery.
Mr Stone, also known as The Ghost of Stonerland, was one of the founding members of the London Stoner, the group that began as a celebration of cannabis culture and now has more than 150 members in 40 countries.
He died in London in 2003.
During his time as a member of Stoned, he also founded the Stoned Club and helped develop Stoned Tours.
But his real fame came in the 1970s, when he played the part of a hard-drinking and drug-crazed hippie in the movie, The Devil Went Down to Georgia.
He was later portrayed in the 1979 film, All the Pretty Horses.
Mr Smith was a well-known and respected member of music and cinema.
He appeared in the film All the Beautiful People, and his performances on The Mary Tyler Moore Show were considered classics.
He later starred in the TV series The Adventures of Tintin and also had a starring role in the 1995 film, The Road to Stoned.
Mr Stoned’s body has been recovered from the River Thames near London’s St Pancras area.
His ashes were interred in the Royal National Cemetery in London on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said Mr Stone was found unconscious in his home in the city’s west end around 11.30pm on Saturday night.
“Officers attended to the scene and discovered that Mr Stone had fallen ill and was pronounced dead at the scene,” the spokesperson said.
Police were not releasing details of the circumstances of Mr Stone’s death.
In 2014, Mr Stone took his own life.
The Stoner was a member for 30 years and helped create the Stoney Creek pub chain, which has now spread to other countries.
